The September 2008 SBA Course is now full! A new session has been added that will begin November 7th 2008.

The Sustainable Building Advisor Course is a nine-month certification program designed to provide participants with the knowledge, tools and strategies to implement green building projects. The unit topics focus on practical, forward-thinking ways to design, develop and construct buildings that are resource efficient, environmentally responsible, cost effective, and healthy for all occupants. The SBA course provides attendees with the tools to:
- Identify and articulate key sustainable building practices.
- Apply LEED and other established guidelines.
- Work with architects, designers, builders, building operators, and utilities to improve a building's performance.
- Analyze the costs and benefits of incorporating sustainable building measures.
- Take advantage of financial incentives and technical assistance offered by governments, utilities and non-profit organizations.
- Establish sustainable design goals for project development.
